o_O

The boss' son ran away from home this morning/late last night. And people, when I say he ran away from home, I mean got on a friggin plane went to KOREA. So I guess he 'flew' away from home. And took a taxi at some point as well.

When I ran away from home I ... hid in a closet.

So he's been somewhat down today, understandably, and then - get this: turns out it's his BIRTHDAY, too.

:S :S

I overheard his wife saying it to her daughter, apparently the whole family had forgotten (and really, there's a good chance he's forgotten, too, according to his daughter). No idea if the son knows, or if it would have made a difference. It does seem like somewhat of a coincidence though.

So after sitting around for an hour, wherein no one did anything, I finally left to get a birthday cake and a card with another student who used to stay in his home for the home-stay program. I mean, I've had my problems with him, and no doubt I'll have them again, and he'll always *always* be a chucklehead, but come on - this is just not right. I feel for the guy.

But now that I"m thinking about it, this can go two ways:

1. He'll appreciate the sentiment, he'll realize his family is thinking of him, and it will lift his spirits a bit.
2. It'll make everything much worse and he'll have some sort of break down.

And ah - right on cue, here come the peeps with the candles.
