day two, dear diary ...

dayseThe boss left for Korea on Sunday, so I was completely boss free yesterday for the first time since I started working here. It was, without a doubt, the BEST day of work ever, and I got soooo much fucking shit done, I'm like - days ahead of where I should be. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, at least a half day to a day though.
It's amazing the shit you can accomplish when you aren't waiting for someone ELSE to finish THEIR part of the 'work' (which for him was telling you he had to explain your VERY IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT OMG and twiddle on his computer for forty minutes, only to call you in to tell you to do the same shit you've been doing for the past two WEEKS) they are supposed to do so you can do yours. Or getting called into the boss' office so you can sit there through another pointless meaning, or be told 'hey, can you lick this stamp for me and put it on this envelope?', 'hey, can you dial this phone number for me on this phone that is two feet away from my hand and then pass me said phone?', 'hey, can you call this company and tell them I'm omg so mad at them because I screwed up and they didn't have enough foresight to *anticipate* that gosh darn it?'
And so forth, and etcetera, and blah blah blah.
But yes. Me thinks I'll ease back today from the super frantic pace I put myself at yesterday. Won't do to get *too* productive, or I might go into bullshit shock when he returns in a month.
Coda: am thinking of quitting whlie he is gone so he can not sabotage my attempts to leave. [contemplates]
