Callum love fest

This weekend, not only did I have a marvy time with my London posse, but
offonmars (hee ;)) hooked me up with some CKR footage! I got "For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down" (which traumatized me unrepairabley because of that friggin' *wave*, man) and Da Vinci's Inquest (in which CKR prepares for his role of Duck by stalking ... well, everybody), and Twitch City (which is deliciously fucked up, I tell you whut).
- FTWHTWD (damn that's long): the scene in the bar, where he's playing pool. HOT. HOT I tells ya! This other guy totally comes up to him, all ready to fight, and he takes a swing and fucking Jerry (CKR) just leans back slightly, pool cue still in hand, cigarette still in his mouth, and the punch just sails by. Like the guy'd been waving down a *taxi*.
- Doctor Book Writer Lady - TAKE HIS DAMN PRESENT AND GIVE HIM A FRIGGIN' HUG YOU BYOTCH!
- Okay, that kid? Traumatized for life. As am I. [cry]
- FUCK YOUR HONOUR, RUN! GET OUT OF TOWN! THERE IS A CRAZY GUY AFTER YOU.
Da Vinci's Inquest is a Canadian cop show that takes place in Vancouver, for those who don't know ;) and CKR guest starred in a few episodes as Bobby Marlowe, a cop who works sex crimes.
- I have no idea if this was part of the script, something CKR added in himself when he took on the role, or just me reading too much into things, but I totally got the sense that Bobby's character had a bit of history with sexual abuse. He just took things a bit too personally, y'know? And he walks around wounded. Of course, CKR seems to really *enjoy* infusing angst and damage into his characters, you always sense that there's a bit *more* there than is told.
- Also, he's the only cop I can think of that works so completely alone. He's by himself through most of his scenes, no partner to speak of, he doesn't seem to report to anybody - he could just be Random Crime Solving Guy.
- He's hot. Very hot. I'd like to jump him. Also, he looks about 29 years old in this (altho he's actually, like, 38), and he *towers* over everybody. I know he's not a short guy, but I never really thought of him as tall before this show.
- Since he plays a cop I couldn't help comparing him to Ray Kowalski, and they're kind of alike in that they both like looking sneakily around corners and hunkered down in their cars, are prone to bursts of temper ("GET OFF HER, YOU PRICK!"), and hey - kinda look alike ;) Bobby Marlowe is much more subdued though, and not nearly as spastic *g*
Twitch City
- AHAHAHAHA.
- AHAHAHAHA.
- Okay, his hair. When he's at work it's combed down and the spikes sort of stick straight out from his forehead. Also, his tacky orange uniform is adorable. When he's off work, the hair is sticking STRAIGHT up, like when roosters want to show their fertility. And his fashion sense - it's the bestest. We're talking big, neon pink mittens, and fluffy scarves with rainbow striped patterns, t-shirts with KITTENS on the front. I *heart* Newbie, I really do.
- His name is *Newbie*. Well, okay, not really - but that's what he calls himself and I forgot what they said his real name was.
- He's so very, very pretty. With wide blue eyes and pink lips. And he dances with cans of catfood.
- HUGH DILLON OMG! In one scene, Hugh Dillon makes an appearance in Newbie's store. Newbie and Hope (girl on the show) are dancing around, and Hugh Dillon just wants to buy his *catfood*, man. And he's standing there, chewing his gum, looking kind of ... I don't know, man. It's Hugh. And Newbie dances a bit with the catfood, and Hugh just ... stares at him. This stare. It's either "I want to fuck you" or "I want to chop you up and put you in my trunk", and I honestly can't tell which one. But it does sort of kill Newbie's buzz *g*
- Man, that glare. I wish I could cap videos.
And I still have more eps I haven't seen yet! [twirls]
